In just under three months, Abu Dhabi will take center stage as the host of the Games of the Future 2025 (GOTF2025), where the best phygital athletes and clubs from around the world will compete at this pinnacle event of the phygital world, vying for champion titles and providing the ultimate phygital showdown.
From 18 – 23 December, visitors will enter a futuristic sports hub featuring esports and sports arenas, robot combat zones, and drone racing tracks. Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will be transformed into a multi-disciplinary arena, welcoming athletes to battle across 11 disciplines for a total prize pool of 5 million US dollars. Led by ASPIRE, the official delivery authority of GOTF 2025, and supported by Ethara, the powerhouse behind many of the UAE’s landmark events, the Games will set a new benchmark for international sport and entertainment.
Ahead of the main event, immersive roadshows will be held at locations across the UAE from October to December. Featuring live demonstrations and interactive challenges, the tour will give audiences a first-hand experience of phygital sport and build momentum for the Games of the Future 2025 in December.
“Phygital sports are rewriting the rulebooks of competition. With just three months to go, transforming the iconic exhibition centre in the heart of Abu Dhabi into the world’s most advanced space for both digital and physical competition is no small feat. It requires the vision and dedication of hundreds of people to build bespoke digital arenas, pitches, and immersive experiences that will redefine how athletes compete and how fans engage.” Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, commented.
