Job Description / Role
The LAB of the Games of the Future project is a platform that selects and evaluates innovations that can make our project and product better.
We are seeking a dynamic Manager with experience in tech/sport innovations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in searching for innovations and ideas for GOTF project, researching the market, negotiating with potential partners such as technological companies, video games publishers, sports enthusiasts, etc.
The candidate will be a member of the GOTF project and fully moderate the LAB process, conduct preliminary research, moderate LAB meetings and review scoring results, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research:
– We are constantly looking for new technologically innovative sports and disciplines as well as mechanics and niches that attract audiences. We are ready to include new disciplines both in the main GOTF program and in the demonstration area. New Sport mechanics should be presented to the LAB Committee and scored according to internal instruments (scoring model).
– Monitoring of video games market for new games to be included into the GOTF competition program. - Relationship Building: finding and building partnership with technology companies. These can be either companies supplying any technological solutions or devices we need for GOTF competitions (drones, robots, exoskeletons, etc.) or contractors-suppliers of unique technologies appropriate for GOTF competitions (metrics of athletes, unique VR, led floors and led boards, etc.).
- Reporting and Documents Management: preparing presentations for the LAB meetings, results reporting, scoring model operation. Preparing materials and documents for contracts, partnerships, meetings & negotiations.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B dealmaking, preferably in the esports/sports industries.
- Strong understanding and experience in sports/esports.
- In-depth knowledge of the esports and classic sports market landscape and various forms of collaboration within the industries, including innovative companies.
- Proven track record of market research (searching for “cold contacts”), successful negotiations and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent spoken English (C2).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple cross-functional interactions and joint KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and brand collaboration strategies.
