Phygital International has confirmed the full line-up of teams and athletes set to compete at Phygital Contenders 2026 Astana, the final qualification stage on the road to the Games of the Future 2026.
Taking place on 10-15 June 2026, the tournament will bring together 41 clubs across Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball and Phygital Dancing, all hoping for a place at phygital sport’s biggest event, where the ultimate winners will share a prize pool of over US$4 million.
With qualification on the line and only a limited number of slots available, the competition is expected to deliver some of the most intense contests in the phygital calendar.
You can see the full list of participants, as well as the rankings overview across all phygital disciplines, here.
This year’s line-up reflects the growing depth and diversity of the global phygital ecosystem, with teams from 23 countries including Armenia, Brazil, Turkey, Oman, Spain, Pakistan, and Uruguay competing.
“This second edition of Phygital Contenders reflects the strength of the pathway we have built,” said John Hewitt, International Marketing & Communications Director at Phygital International. “The level of competition and diversity of participants shows how rapidly the ecosystem is evolving. As teams compete for their place at the Games of the Future this summer, we are seeing a stronger and more competitive global field emerge.”
Phygital Contenders 2026 also provides an early opportunity to showcase host city Astana, which will also stage the Games of the Future 2026 later in the summer (29 July- 9 August).
GOTF 2026 will bring together more than 900 participants from over 50 countries and feature multiple phygital disciplines – including Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, Phygital Dancing, Phygital Shooter and Phygital Fighting – alongside esports competitions such as MOBA (PC and mobile) and Battle Royale.
