With 100 days to go until the Games of the Future 2026 (29 July–9 August), Astana is gearing up to host the world’s biggest phygital sports event. Building on the success of Abu Dhabi 2025, UAE, this year’s GOTF will bring together more than 900 participants from over 50 countries for 12 days of non-stop action.
Athletes will compete across eight phygital and esports disciplines with a multi-million-dollar prize pool driving elite performance and global visibility. More than just a tournament, the event also serves as a platform for innovation, commercial partnerships, and cross-cultural engagement.
Beyond the arenas, GOTF 2026 will extend into a city-wide experience. A curated festival program will run alongside the tournament, featuring live concerts, and cultural and entertainment events across Astana. This integrated approach is designed to drive audience engagement and strengthen the GOTF’s position as a global destination event.
A key highlight will be the integration with Comic Con Astana (5–9 August). With more than 100,000 visitors in 2025, Comic Con brings direct access to a highly engaged global audience across gaming, entertainment, and digital culture. This collaboration strengthens the commercial and cultural reach of the Games of the Future ecosystem.
The Phygital Sport Summit will also return in 2026 on 29–30 July. The Summit convenes leaders from sport, technology, gaming, and innovation to explore the future of sport. Building on a strong 2025 program, which featured speakers including three-time Olympic gold medalist, Stephanie Rice, and Ballon d’Or winner, Luis Figo, the 2026 edition will continue to serve as a key platform for industry dialogue and partnership development.
“With 100 days to go, we’re entering a defining phase on the road to Astana,” said John Hewitt, International Marketing & Communications Director at Phygital International. “The continued growth of the Games of the Future reflects the strength of the phygital model as a platform to bring sport, gaming, and entertainment together at scale.”
As momentum builds towards Astana, GOTF 2026 will continue to unlock new opportunities across the phygital ecosystem — bringing together partners, audiences, and innovation in one global platform.
