The Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 powered by ADNOC has officially concluded after six action-packed days, marking a major milestone for the global phygital sports movement and reinforcing its position at the intersection of sport, technology, and entertainment

Hosted at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 18–23 December, the event brought together more than 850 participants from over 60 countries, competing across 11 disciplines spanning phygital sports, tech sports, and esports. Thousands of fans filled arenas throughout the week, while hundreds of millions more followed the competition worldwide through broadcasts, social feeds and streams around the world, underscoring the Games’ growing global reach and cross-generational appeal.

From large-scale tech showcases such as Battle of Robots to globally followed esports competitions including MOBA PC.Dota 2, MOBA Mobile.MLBB, and BattleRoyale.Featuring Fortnite, the programme delivered a diverse mix of elite performance, strategic gameplay, and cutting-edge innovation. Phygital disciplines including Phygital Football powered by ADNOC, Phygital Basketball.3on3 Freestyle brought to you by M42, Phygital Shooter.CS2, Phygital Dancing.Just Dance, Phygital Fighting.FATAL FURY: City of Wolves, and Phygital Drone Racing presented by InsuranceMarket.ae further highlighted the event’s ability to hamerge physical skill with digital mastery. The Middle East debut of the VR-Game.HADO Global Invitation marked another important regional first.

Speaking on the event’s success, Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, highlighted the collaborative effort behind the Games, crediting the shared vision and support of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ASPIRE, and Ethara in positioning Abu Dhabi as a global leader in sports innovation. “The success of the Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 is a testament to what can be achieved when innovation, ambition, and collaboration come together.”

The Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 was broadcast live via the newly launched Games of the Future OTT platform, supported by 27 international broadcast and streaming partners delivering coverage in more than 13 languages. This digital-first distribution model set a new benchmark for accessibility and multi-platform sports broadcasting.

With Abu Dhabi 2025 complete, the Phygital Flame now passes to Astana, Kazakhstan, host of the Games of the Future 2026. In parallel, Phygital International has confirmed that bidding is now open for future host cities for the 2028, 2029, and 2030 editions, as the Games continue their global expansion.
