The countdown to the Games of the Future 2026 has entered its final month as Astana prepares to welcome the world’s leading phygital clubs and athletes.
From July 29 to August 9, more than 800 participants from over 50 countries will compete across eight disciplines as the world’s premier phygital sporting event returns. Following the successful conclusion of Phygital Contenders Astana 2026, the qualification pathway is nearly complete, with the final lineup set to be confirmed in the coming days ahead of the official Draw Ceremony on July 7.
The Games return following a landmark 2025 edition in Abu Dhabi that generated 461 million broadcast views, reached 137 million unique viewers, and delivered 388 million social media views — highlighting the growing international appeal of phygital sport and the Games of the Future as a global sports and entertainment property.
Competition will take place across four venues in Astana: Barys Arena, Beeline Arena, the Qazaqstan Athletics Sports Complex, and the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. Following the successful delivery of Phygital Contenders, the city has entered the final phase of preparations ahead of welcoming athletes, fans, partners, broadcasters, and media from around the world.
The Games of the Future 2026 will feature world-leading titles across eight disciplines, including UFL for Phygital Football, 3on3 Freestyle for Phygital Basketball, Just Dance for Phygital Dancing, Counter-Strike 2 for Phygital Shooter, Dota 2 for MOBA PC, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves for Phygital Fighting, PUBG: Battlegrounds for Battle Royale, with the MOBA Mobile title to be announced soon.
The field already includes leading clubs and athletes from across South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, with qualification secured through both the World Phygital Community rankings and Phygital Contenders Astana 2026, and automatic qualification for reigning Games of the Future 2025 champions.
